He is survived by his wife, Nita, of 64 years; their daughters, Marsha, her husband Nick & Karen, her husband Gary; daughter-in-law, Marie; and his brother, John, his wife Lou. He is preceded in death by their son, Steve, and his parents, Otis & Gladys Driskill, of Coleman, TX. They have 5 grandchildren, Matt, Adam, Dean, Kris and Wade and 2 great-grandchildren, Joshua and Emily.
Bob served his country as a Coxswain in the United States Navy during WWII in the Pacific Theatre. After graduating from Texas Tech University, he was Secretary and Treasurer of Aztec Oil & Gas in Dallas, and Treasurer for the Petroleum Accountants Society for 2 years. Bob was an active member & deacon of his church, avid wood-worker and golfer and enjoyed “Rv-ing” with his wife after retirement.
Visitation will be held at Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home Thursday, June 28th from 5-7pm. Funeral services will be held at the Chapel of Sparkman-Crane, Friday, June 29th at 10:00am. Interment will follow at DFW National Cemetery at 2:00pm, the procession will meet in Lane B at the cemetery.
