Robert Max Cox

On October 9, 2016, the Lord took Bob to be with him in heaven. He enjoyed 91 plus years under God’s grace on earth. He was born August 21, 1925 in Bradford Arkansas to Moffett and Effie Cox. He grew up in Hot Springs Arkansas where he was the 7th child and had a twin sister. On Sept 1, 1949 he married Beverly Mae Wakeland from Danville Illinois. The Lord blessed them with two children, Robert Dennis and Teresa Ann, 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren and 3 non related grandchildren. Robert served our country in three wars, World War II, Korea and Vietnam. He completed his duty in 1966 after 24 years of dedicated service. Following his service he immediately went to work in the Quality organization at LTV (Vought Corp) supporting several commercial and military aircraft productions. Bob retired from Vought in 1991 to spend more time enjoying his family and traveling the country. Bob will be remembered for his abiding faith in Jesus Christ and his patience in affliction. Interment will be at the DFW National Cemetery on a future date to be decided. The family respectfully request that memorial gifts be designated for the Divine Peace Lutheran Church, Garland Texas building fund.
