My Good and Dear Friend Tina, 
We are certainly missing Richard and have throughout the previous three years and three months since he has been gone. An empty feeling is there when we all go to mass on Sundays without him.  We always looked forward to going out for dinner after mass and hanging on to each word as he told us many interesting stories. Every day we lift you and our beloved Richard in our petitions. He constantly lite our lives with his inspirational point of view, and you, Tina, have been super strong. We admire that in you so very much. 
I pray Richard to rest in peace.

Mrs. Jefferies,
We truly miss Richard. He was such an inspiration; and touched so many lives! We looked forward to him greeting us at 5:30 mass. He always had a great word, and a smile for everyone. You both were the perfect couple in church. Monsignor said it best! The love you express for each other, was truly the epitome of love and happiness. Once again, we wish to express our greatest sympathy. The pain of your loss, I can only imagine is such, that words cannot describe. We will keep you both in our prayers.
Steven and I just buried my sister Faye. It is a heavy cross; we must bear. We will miss her dearly. However, I just ran into Richard's obituary; and are we glad we did! After his funeral mass, (I can't imagine two and a half years already gone by) Steven, and I had a flight to catch. After my sister's burial, we remained and  did visit Richard's grave site. His head stone is lovely and so perfect!

Tina, it has been very trying the past two years not to see you and Richard at the 5:30 mass together. Robert, and I miss being greeted by Richard's giant smile and warm embrace. We especially miss seeing Richard walk up the Isle tapping you on the shoulder and you both going to receive communion together.

Truly, Richard you were supposed to be here for everyone of us. We came to visit Dallas; and made a special stop at Christ the King for mass to visit with you, whom we love dearly beyond all doubt .To learn that you were with our Dear Lord. What a shock to us and the girls. Amy particularly who you mentored as a young girl and throughout her high school years and emailed regularly was absolutely distressed. She cherished you and respected you profoundly, as we all do. This explains why she did not hear from you. She is in tears! As we all are as a family! Mr. Jefferies Grandfather as she addressed you!
My beloved church friend, oh how we will miss you. Melinda and I have moved back to San Francisco. Since the girls are both here in college. Our hearts and prayers go out to Mrs. Jefferies I know how much you both loved each other. We contacted Mrs. Jefferies. She is a lovely lady. We light a candle today and will continue to keep you in our prayers.

Our Dear Richard,
Robin and I visited your beautiful grave-site on New Years day. We bowed our heads in heartfelt prayers and reminisced about our times together. Richard, The joy and laughter, the wisdom and knowledge, and the Love of God, that you shared with us; you left us with such over flowing joyous hearts. How can we not but think of this as super spiritual? Thank you for all your kind words and how you touched our lives!!! 
Boy, did we miss you at church for New Years Eve mass. Not sitting there next to Tina, was unreal; and it was a greatly empty feeling to us; and you can be assured that she felt exactly the same way! We talked to Tina, a big hug and lots of love to herand of course she looked lovely as always, and amazingly beautiful!

A TRIBUTE TO MY DAD, 2015
First and foremost, my dad was a kind man. He never said an unkind word about anyone. My dad was forthright and truthful. I always compared him to "Abe" Linclon who was a Virginia gentleman. My dad always made sure we had a good home, food, plenty of schooling, good reading, and faith. He always made sure I said my prayers before bed, and he never spanked me. If i was roudy, he would just stand in the doorway, a shadow of a man in the dark, hands on his hips until I went back to bed, then he left. IT was all wordless, but I understood. For school, Dad always had some cut out article or picture from Life Magazine to take to "show and Tell". I miss him so !  Daughter Jennifer Jefferies (GiGi)

Dear TINA i am sorry for your loss. i knew RICHARD was the best thing for you. I have knew you since 1968. YOU TWO MADE LIFE SO COMPLETE for each other. he always said you was his child bride and you was the best for him. I remember how he looked at you. He was so proud of you. BE strong he is still with you, still loving you and still watching over you. GOD didn't want him to suffer any more pain. TINA , RICHARD was apart of everyone heart that came in contact with him. he was a beautiful person. a gentleman with great morals. A heart that gave and gave. we will all miss him dearly.

Dick was a beloved friend. He was a true gentleman. He was extremely kind and considerate to everyone. He always had such a positive attitude, and was loved by everyone that knew him.  He was also one of the most interesting and intelligent people I have ever known.

I have so many fond memories of Dick, and I will miss him greatly.

 What a bright light in our neighborhood. Each and every morning I saw him outside , making sure his beautiful wife Tina got to her car safely, made sure she had everything she needed, and lovingly gave her a kiss and watched as she drove away.  He was waiting for her each day to do the same as she arrived home . 
How excited we were when we found out about his book. Our family is huge Star Trek fans,  they each enjoyed the signed copies we bought for them . 
When my husband got sick with non-Hodgkin's lyymohona, Richard was there to be his cheerleader and give him hope  that he too would be a survivor. He is .  We will miss you but we are here to take care of your beautiful bride .

What a beloved and classy gentleman. The world is indeed a poorer place with his passing. God indeed has opened the gates of heaven for his homecoming.

Richard was a good friend. He was a wonderful neighbor and an interesting man.

Although I only knew him for the last few years, I never once saw Richard without a smile and kind word. 
His positive outlook on life is an inspiration. 

His love for Tina and her love for him was shown in every action. The most in love couple I have ever known. 

I only wish I had known him sooner as he had the ability to find the positive in every situation. He has left footprints on the hearts of all who knew him.

A true gentleman one of the most professional and caring people I ever worked with. He was always willing to do whatever it took to help lift everyone else around him. We called each other friend and for that I am honored and proud.
 I pray God's love and grace will be sufficient for his family to fill the void. 
Gone but not forgotten, truer words were never spoken.

Richard "Dick" Jeffries was a great man, he was tireless, a ball of fire!.
He always was positive, and lived his life every day, and every second as it had to be the best.

He loved work, he loved people, and everyone that knew him, loved Dick.
We worked closely together many, many years.
He was all about DOING it!, now!. Always such a positive attitude and even when upset was always composed.

He loved his dear wife Tina(talked about her incessantly), and was SO very proud of his family and their accomplishments and he loved to tell the stories of his life, and theirs.

It is with some sadness that my old dear friend has passed, but I do not know many people who enjoyed, and lived ALL of life as much as Dick, and he never took anything for granted, and was the first to step up.
He will be missed terribly. But he passed from this life into eternity, to be immediately face to face with our LORD and Savior.
No more tears, no more pain, and at total peace and happiness now at home with the saints of God.
I will always remember you Dick as long as I live.

I look forward to seeing you soon,at home with our brothers and sisters in Christ, and our families that have passed before us, and of course to be  face to face with MY LORD and Savior Christ Jesus.
