The world lost a good one on Friday March 11, 2022. Whether you called him Ray, Raymond, Buddy, or Bud, if you knew him, you enjoyed his wicked sense of humor, kindness, compassion, Catholic faith, extraordinarily strong work ethic, and undying love for his wife and partner in crime Lorie Mosman.
Ray was born in Gainesville, Texas on January 4, 1934, the youngest of 14 children. According to Ray, his parents stopped when they finally got it right. After graduating from high school and meeting the love of his life Lorie, Ray founded Metro Graphics in 1965. Metro began as a film house, but with the help of his two boys Randy and Tony, it is still one of the original family-owned printing businesses in Dallas today. You didn’t have to know Ray for long before witnessing his unconditional love for his children Randy Mosman, Rhonda Mosman DeLaRosa, and Tony Mosman. Kim Craig joined the family in 2011.
This obituary would go on for far too long if we named everyone who loved Ray, so we’ll hit the highlights. Ray has gotten a head start and is planning a heavenly welcome party for the love of his life Lorie Mosman, his children Randy Mosman, Rhonda Mosman DeLaRosa, Tony Mosman, and Kim Craig, his sister Aileen Anderson, his 12 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. Ray was a steadfast volunteer at St Vincent de Paul at St. Patrick’s, a job he cherished dearly later in life. In memory of Ray, please mail donations to St. Vincent de Paul at St. Patrick Catholic Church at the address below.
A Rosary will be held on March 17th at 11:30 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Church followed by Mass and the funeral service at 12 pm. Internment will be 2pm at Calvary Hill Cemetery.
