Peggy Joyce (White) Lane, 89, passed away surrounded by family September 25, 2018 in Mesquite, Texas. She was born September 18, 1929 in Dallas, Texas to Matthew and Clinton John White. Peggy attended Woodrow Wilson High School, worked many years for U.S Steel, was a devoted member of the Church of Christ and enjoyed making wooded yard art for herself and family members. Peggy was the definition of a Proverbs 31 woman. She was caring, sensitive and brought many people to Christ through her work in various ministries at the church. From a thriving women’s ministry, to assisting with the jail ministry, Peggy was known as a “doer not a talker.” She will be missed at every social gathering and church event as well as the Vanilla Blue Bell Ice Cream she always brought with her. Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Earl Lane; son, Ricky Dale Lane; parents, Matthew and Clinton John White and brother, Jack White. Left to cherish her memories are her daughters, Patti Lane-Faulhaber and husband, Larry and Judy Overall and husband, Randy; grandchildren, Meagan McPherson and husband, Matt, Zane Haulhaber and wife, Shana, Joel Overall and wife, Christy, Reid Overall and wife, Meridean and Daniel Overall and wife, Deborah; great-grandchildren, Lucy and Finley Overall and Bella Overall, along with many extended family members and lifelong friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 from 6-8pm at Grove Hill Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at Grove Hill Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 10am with interment to follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
