Paul was a proud Veteran, he served 8 years in the United States Navy and fought in the Korean War. He enjoyed his craftsmanship as a wood re-finisher and later owned and operated The House of Gold in Oak Cliff with his daughter and The Gold Mine in Corpus Christi, where he retired calling it his own paradise.
Paul enjoyed caring for his animals, fishing and the ocean views. He loved spending time with family and sharing life lessons and stories that held deep meaning. Paul passed away April 22, 2023 and is preceded in death by his father Christopher, mother Carrie, step dad Joe, his sister Rosie, son in law Tito Arce, daughter in law Raquel Rodriguez and his sons, Ronald Rodriguez and Kenneth Martinez.
Paul is survived by his wife Esther Rodriguez, sister Carmen Rodriguez, his children Katherine Martinez, Roseanne Arce, Paul Rodriguez Jr, Jeffrey Rodriguez and Christopher Rodriguez. Grandchildren Melissa Martinez, Selina Arce, Kenneth Martinez, Jeffrey Rodriguez Jr, Alan Martinez, Felisha Jacques, Xochitl Saavedra, Angelo Rodriguez, Sally Martinez, Elizabeth Lasko, Gabrielle McDonald, Matthew Rodriguez, Jacqueline Martinez, Brandon Rodriguez, Raquel Rodriguez, Jacob Martinez and Ignacio Rodriguez and many great grandchildren.
A visitation for Paul will be held Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home and Crematory, 3050 N STEMMONS FWY, DALLAS, TX 75247. A rosary will occur Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM, 3050 N STEMMONS FWY, DALLAS, TX 75247. A mass of christian burial will occur Friday, April 28, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 1809 W Davis, Dallas, TX 75208 follow by an interment at Calvary Hill Cemetery, 3235 Lombardy Ln, Dallas, TX 75220.
