Now, two years on, still no voice to carry on for Pat.  At least, not here in New Jersey.
Blessings to the family.  

I still miss his wit and fervent passion for our Savior.  Blessings to Amy and the girls on this day of remembrance.  

Patrick Henry Booth positively glowed with the Holy Spirit!  That must have been reminiscent of the fire of Pentecost.  Only a few weeks ago he shared such insight with me about how the Spirit recognizes and  introduces us to strangers.  What an example he set.


I was very blessed to have had Patrick Henry Booth as a close friend for 25 years. 

He loved Jesus and his family. He was fun, smart, enjoyed life, energetic, had an incredible memory and was one of the best networkers who ever lived. There is no other person like him! 

Pat and Amy were blessed to have had 57 years of marriage and a special love for each other. He was proud of his family, his daughters, sons-in-laws and grandchildren and their deep faith and love of the Lord.  Pat’s love of Jesus was his family’s foundation. That was a great example for many of us in our walk with the Lord. 

As a Christian, Pat’s patience with people was extraordinary when most others, including myself, would give up on a person he would continue, never losing faith. He was tenacious after a soul. 

We had many deep conversations about our faith in Jesus Christ. He truly believed that “iron sharpened Iron.” I could write for weeks about all the special visits and memories that I have of Pat. 

Pat’s homecoming with all the saints that he led to Jesus and his many good friends must have been amazing. And having his Savior Jesus Christ welcome Pat home by saying, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord” (Matthew 25:21, KJV).

My wife Claudia and I loved Pat Booth. We will miss him!

Patrick Henry, was my pillar, friend and "Big Buddy", and even handy man, and confidante. His presence in my life changed my life.  The Lord used Pat in so many ways, and I will be forever blessed because he was in my life.  In fact, he brought the Spirit of God to my door step, and that changed everything in my life.  He was my friend before I was a believer, and patiently pursued me until I came to Christ about 10 years ago. 

Pat will be missed not once in awhile but every single day.  He loved his family so much.  And I can only imagine the party in heaven when he was received, and certainly was greeted with the words, "Well done, my friend and faithful servant".   I loved him dearly, and I know he will be missed by so many of us who considered him a best friend.   

Met Pat thru the Buckaroo Bible Study.  He loved to trace back the lives of mutual friends we knew from Cru.  He enjoyed my book, Tales from the Bike Path, and liked  helping me get it into people's hands.   I really appreciated his enthusiasm.  I had worked with Nancy Boyd on the first site for City House in Plano and on PISD scholarship committees. He was so proud of all she had accomplished.
Pat was one of the few guys I know who actually used his front shirt pocket. It was always crammed with tracts, notes, etc. We worked on evangelism projects around Corner Bakery on Fridays. Once, after spending an hour witnessing to a guy, Pat realized that he had led the guy to Christ years earlier.  We had a good chuckle on that one.   Pat will be missed by all.

In the mid 70s the primary focus of my real estate development business  moved from Virginia to Dallas,Texas. Shortly after I was looking out the window of my new office in downtown at the street below and as I turned around to my surprise a gentleman was sitting in a chair in front of my desk. I asked “who are you?” and the response “Patrick Henry Booth”. I then asked “what do you want?” and the response was “to talk with you!”. I asked “about what?” and Pat said “ “lots of things”. 

There the adventure began and it lasted up until this week. He was a great friend to me and my family for over 40 years. His outgoing and positive manner was infectious to all.  He influenced my life in a most positive way. He will be greatly missed.

In 1970 when I moved to Dallas after graduating from UT to work on Explo 72 the first Bible study I attended was taught by Pat.rick.  The topic was the sovereignty of God.  Pat is a gentle souls with a love and passion for other souls.  My life was  dry blessed through Patrick.  

When I came to faith forty one years ago at Believers Chapel, Pat was the first Christian businessman I met. Even though I wasn’t a candidate to sell “Slick 50” gas additive, I was impressed with Pat’s obvious intelligence and  rabid enthusiasm for the Lord.  Most notable was his intense look into my eyes searching for any potential response from the indwelling Holy Spirit he knew resided in my heart after being born again from above. 

Over the ensuing years our paths crossed many times and every time I encountered him, his smile and insatiable appetite for sincerely inquiring what I was doing always prevailed. As a result of his sincere interest in my progress as a brother in the Messiah, we always were able to connect in the Spirit.  This is what I always appreciated and loved about Pat. He was honest, forthright, and above all, always curious about where my journey with the Lord was taking me. 

In the last few years our bonds as brothers in the Messiah simply trying to advance God’s kingdom on earth became even closer.   I had the privilege of working with him on a project that he was very excited about and was communicating with him frequently over the last several months. During that time I felt he was like an older brother who was affirming me in so many ways. As I think back, he could have been a lifelong mentor, but instead I believe because we were on the same wavelength so often, that he in essence became a role model about how a Christian businessman should conduct his business in order to advance God’s kingdom on earth, rather than seek the things of this temporal world. 

I will miss his smiling face and genuine desire to probe into the often unknowable purposes of God, as we each by faith, seek to walk out our individual journeys.  

But I am more than confident that Pat is in the presence of the Almighty One, inquiring as always, but finally knowing there is rest from all the cares and troubles that infect the world he left behind. 






How many of us found ourselves in brainstorming  sessions, on the phone before smart phones, and heard him say: “....wait, hold on, I’ll get XXXX on the line...!” Invariably,  this was a bigwig of some sort, a VIP, who Pat felt could pull a deal together.  And you know what? It worked. This direct, cut through the bull style was more New York than Dallas. But it worked.

Use those spurs, forever. 

Pat was one of the most interesting people I’ve ever met. My hours and hours of conversations with him are forever etched in my heart.
I loved the man.

What can I say that has not already been said by many?  Pat was a larger than life, one of a kind person.  In my lifetime I have never met anyone that walked so closely with Jesus.   He was so many things to me.  He was a mentor.  He was a spiritual advisor.  He was like a brother, uncle and father all wrapped up into one person.   He was like an angel on earth that was ALWAYS happy and laughing.  I spent eight glorious years of my life with him by my side attending Church services, Sunday School and other events.  There is a huge hole in my heart right now and I am in a state of shock and devastation.   I take solace and comfort in the fact that I know absolutely that in a blink of an eye Pat's spirit went from Earth to Heaven.   He awaits all of us up there. 

Pat was bigger than life. His energy and enthusiasm for the Lord is legendary. What a joy it was to see him appear in our BUILDERS Sunday school class here in Atlanta on several occasions while visiting his daughter, Amberly, and her family. His smile lit up the room as his nodded an "AMEN" from the back row of the class.
During coffee time after class, he reminded us of his days on the board of Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU). We found we had many friends in common. He was very proud of his adult daughters and his grandchildren, two of whom we have the privilege of knowing.
Pat has touched many lives, ours included. We know he sends us all his best from his new location in HEAVEN. Bruce & Donna Cook

There isn't a memory of growing up that doesn't involve Pat Booth.  He was always a great encouragement and "Dad".  Our many breakfasts at Bubba's...a hamburger at Goff's, or grabbing BBQ at Sonny Bryans...I received more wisdom and love throughout my life.   
 from him.  True, unconditional love!!!!   If ever there was a man that emulated Christ in every aspect of his life, it was Pat.  Pat left legacy footprints on my life and the lives of so many others!!  We will all miss him but look forward to being reunited with him in heaven as we praise our Lord and Savior for eternity.  And we look forward to celebrating his life of incredible impact on Saturday!   Jer 29:11-13

Dearest Amy, 
To you , your daughters and entire family that Pat loved so much, I have just heard the news of Pat leaving to be with the Lord. He was an Angel here on earth and now an Angel in Heaven .  God used him to bring me closer in my walk with the Lord and I am a much better person because of Pat.  I will remember him 20 years ago helping the homeless , Smokey John’s and most of all my wonderful time I spent with you and Pat last year in Houston.  You have been so blessed to have each other. I admire the Love you had for one another and The love you shared for The Lord. Our prayers and Love are with you .God Bless you all . RIP Patski.
