Pat Morgan. Born September 14, 1927 in Amarillo, Texas and passed away June 2, 2014. He was the son of Pauline and Jack Hill of Wichita Falls, Texas. Pauline married Frank Morgan-two children: Annette Morgan Gill and husband Bill, Red River, N.M., and Mike Morgan, Waco, TX. Pat attended Texas A&M College where he enlisted in the U.S. Navy; and was assigned to the Navy unit at The University of Texas in Austin. On July 18, 1951, Pat graduated with a BBA degree, received a commission of Second Lieutenant, U.S. Marine Corps, and married Nancy Lee Gettys. Pat proudly served in combat assignments in Korea and Vietnam and received the Purple Heart. He retired as a Major after 20 years of service. Pat attended the University of Florida receiving an MBA degree in hospital and health care administration and management. He was a hospital administrator for over 18 years before settling down in Dallas, Texas. Pat is survived by his wife Veronica Macalalag and two children, son, Michael Elmore Morgan (later adopted and became Charles Cooper Brown III) and wife Bonnie of Dallas, Georgia and daughter, Katherine (Katie) A. Morgan Kinder, BSN, RN, and husband Bill and their three children: William Patrick, Katherine Pauline (Paula), PA and James David; two great-grandchildren, Angelina M. and Antonio M. Kinder, South Point, Ohio. During Pat’s life he participated in numerous community activities which included the Episcopal Church, the Boy scouts of America (principally as Cub Master and District Commissioner), and Masonic and Shrine activities. There will be no memorial services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to River City Community Church 4385 Rt. 60 East, Huntington, WV 25705 to support his daughter and granddaughter’s missionary work or to your favorite Cancer foundation..
