Othella was born May 3, 1922 to Joe and Dora Thompson in Coalgate, OK, she passed away on March 26, 2017 in Plano, TX. Othella will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and Mama. Othella met Jack M. Laster in Muskogee, OK and married on March 9, 1940. They moved to Dallas, TX in 1952. They were married for 54 years when Jack passed away in Jan 1995. She is also predeceased by her parents, siblings and many close friends. She is survived by her daughters, Pam Bradford of Dallas, and Peggy Samford and her husband, Henry of Plano. She is also survived by her grandchildren Ronda Bradford White (Jeff) of Lucas, TX, Chase Bradford (Crystal) of San Antonio, TX, and Scott Samford (Amy) of Irving, TX; her 5 great-grandchildren: Megan Bradford, the twins Paige and Payton White, Martin and Jack Samford, and several nieces and nephews. Othella was a member of Christ Episcopal Church of Dallas, TX, where she served on the Altar Guild. The family would like to thank her care givers at Prestonwood Court and the wonderful employees of VNA Hospice. They made her final years as comfortable, dignified, and cheerful as they could.
