Mrs. Norma Chandler 91 of Desoto passed away on Wednesday Sept. 21 at a local care center. The funeral will be Monday Sept. 26 at 12:00 Noon at Laurel Land Funeral Home, the Dr. Dan L. Griffin of Lancaster will be officiating. Burial will be at Laurel Land Memorial Park. Mrs. Chandler was born in Temple, TX on Jan. 19, 1925 to Leo and Edna Pernitza. She was a member of First Baptist Lancaster. She was married to Isadore Kronenberg in 1944 and lived in Dallas before moving to Desoto in 1962. She was a homemaker and did many things for the Desoto Community. Norma was given the honorary lifetime membership by Texas Congress of Parents Teachers of Texas in 1968. She was also presented the Silver Fawn Award in 1973 by the Circle Ten Council of Boy Scouts, and was the recipient of the 1975 Desoto Chamber of Commerce Women of the year award. Her First Husband passed away in 1976 and she married Donald Landphier and was co-owner of D&L Automotive. He passed away in 1991. She later married C.V. Chandler of Gatesville. He died in 2007. Norma is survived by three children, daughter, Rhea Lange of Temple, two sons, Roy Kronenberg of Rockett and David Kronenberg of Desoto, one sister Joyce Pittman of Desoto, four grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren. The visitation will be Sunday from 6pm through 8pm at Laurel Land Funeral Home
