Neva Holson Yoder was born Dec. 22, 1927, in Dallas, Texas, to James L. and Lila Brown Holson. After a long and fruitful life, she went home to be with the LORD on Dec. 16, 2024. She is survived by her only daughter, Pam Yoder, of Dallas, Texas. Her extended family includes John and LaRay Van Meter; Don and Janice Holson; James and Jodi Deaver; Brian and Angie Deaver and daughter, Lindsay; Reva and John Henderson and daughters Neva and Reva; and Neva Knight.
Neva took great joy in being an identical twin with her sister Reva, working in reservations at American Airlines with life-long friends Stella Jones and Dorene Taylor, creating artwork in a variety of mediums, and being a mother and honorary grandmother. She felt proud of her heritage as a Choctaw Indian and was thrilled to be named an elder of the tribe when she turned 90. More recently, she threw out the first pitch at her alma mater, North Dallas high school’s baseball game at the age of ninety-six! She lived life to the fullest and understood how to make others feel loved. She walked with the LORD, and it showed in everything she said or did!
