Mattie Louise Heed

Mattie Louise Heed passed away on November 15, 2013. She was born on October 29, 1923, in Pilot Grove, Texas, to Roy and Vee Neathery. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Ray Heed, of Dallas.

Louise had been a member of Wilshire Baptist Church since 1954, and her Friendship Sunday School Class members were her dearest friends. She was also involved in her community in the University Manor Garden Club. She loved being a homemaker and spending time with her daughters, who were the love of her life since losing her husband, Ray, in 1993.

Survivors include her daughters, Cheryl Kay Heed and Cynthia Louise Heed of Dallas; brothers Robert Byron Neathery of Sherman, TX, and Jack and Ethel Neathery of Klondike, TX; sisters Anna and Joe Robinson of Dennison, TX; Marjorie Grimes of Grand Prairie, TX; June and Ken Washburn of Pottsboro, TX; Jane and John Bearden of Ravenna, TX; Brynda Clay of Grand Prairie, TX; Lynda and Jim Knorpt of Ft Worth, TX; and sister-in-law Lois Neathery of Granbury, TX. She was also preceded in death by her brother Maurice Neathery of Dallas; sister-in-law Charlene Neathery of Sherman, TX; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Durene and Stanley Sinclair of Dallas.

The family will receive friends at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy. Dallas, TX 75225 on Monday evening, November 18, 2013, from 5pm to 7pm. A private Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at 2pm, at Wilshire Baptist Church, 4316 Abrams Rd., Dallas, TX 75214. A Reception will follow.
