Mary K. Lambert, born July 25, 1930, in Nafpaktos, Greece, passed away on November 29, 2014. Mary was a kind and generous friend and hostess, a fabulous cook and the indomitable matriarch of her family. Her strength and sense of family saw her loved ones through many ups and downs over the years.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Manthos and Athanasia, husband of 55 years, Byron, sister, Dimitra, and eldest son, John. She is survived by her brothers, Georgios and Dimitrios, her sister, Stella, her son, Jim, her grandchildren, Leah, Erin, Matthew, Byron and Michael, and her beloved great-granddaughters, Zoe, Sydney and Avery. Mary also leaves many nieces and nephews, along with a host of relatives in Greece.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 5, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., with the Trisagion Prayer at 7:00 p.m. at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy., Dallas, Texas. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m., Saturday, December 6th, at The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 13555 Hillcrest Rd., Dallas, Texas.
