Aunt Carmen, you were always so fun to be around. Your smiles and laughs were so infectious!! Thank you, we love you very much and will miss you dearly!!

Our deepest condolences to the Guerrero family on behalf of Zulema Meza & family. My mom spoke very highly of Ms. Carmen and her family. Our family (Meza) are originally from New Braunfels. My father Frank Meza and his brothers are all from New Braunfels and spoke very well of the Guerrero family. Know that she is in a better place. Our prayers are with your family.

When I was a little girl, I thought every kid lived in the same house as their grandparents and godmother.  What a blessing it was to spend ordinary days with family and my aunt Carmen.  Aunt Carmen loved to go shopping on Saturdays and I loved to go with her.  It always started with breakfast at a restaurant...anywhere with bacon or sausage!  Then, we'd ride the bus to downtown Dallas or eventually drive to one of the Malls.  If she bought anything, it was usually for someone else.  I think the only thing I ever saw Aunt Carmen buy for herself was shoes and cooking skillets!  You'd think breakfast and shopping so much would get boring, but with Carmen, there was always fun and laughing.  When Alicia was little, sometimes Carmen would make her laugh so much that I had to separate them!  Now I realize that not everyone has an aunt Carmen and what a blessing and honor it is to be her family.

I will miss you dearly,Carmen. I will never forget all that you did for me as a child and as an adult. Thank you for all the love and special attention you gave me growing up. You always made me feel special. I will forever be greatful for the promise you made to God for my safe return from Vietnam. There were times when I just knew someone was watching out for me over there. It must have been your prayers. Now I pray for you, and your safe return to a much more  peaceful place; together again with your parents, brothers, my father, and his brother, Anastacio. I have been blessed to have had such a truly special member in the family.

Aunt Carmen (wish you could have truly been an aunt to me...although I always and do think so)  may you be in the wondrous comfort and peace of the heavenly kingdom.  Especially at this time of the year, although it is all too soon.  May you enjoy the Christmastide and the forever pleasantry of eternal life with our God, Lord, Holy Spirit, Blessed Mother, saints, angels, and the numerous fortunate residents of His Kingdom...especially my dearly departed Grandfather, Joe Gomez Sr; Grandmother, Ofelia Gomez,; Father, Rudy Sanchez Gomez; and Niece, Taylor Renee Gomez.  As you did here on earth, I will be comforted and at peace knowing you will continue to guide and lookout for our well-being from above.  Thanks for adopting me into your wonderful family and especially being able to see you be such a integral parishioner at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
