Mary Ann became a Registered Nurse during WWII, and met her husband, Fred Driscoll, while working at the Veterans Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico. They were married in St. Louis in 1949, and moved their family to Dallas in 1959.
Mary Ann was a devoted wife, a dedicated mother, and a gentle grandmother & great-grandmother. She was a dutiful daughter and loyal sister to her six siblings. Mary Ann worked diligently for the good of her family without the desire for recognition. Her reward was making others happy. She took great joy in writing poems for all her family members, and loved to make quilts and blankets for each household to enjoy.
Everyone who met Mary Ann came away with the notion that she was very sweet, but she was much more than that. She was faithful, dutiful, loyal, trustworthy and dependable. While she was seemingly quiet, she always had an opinion.
Mary Ann was a fierce devotee of baseball, especially the St. Louis Cardinals and Texas Rangers. She kept detailed scorecards on every game she watched, listened to, or attended. She loved to spend time at her lake house and enjoyed traveling the U.S. with her husband in their RV. She took special pleasure in chronicling her experiences on the road and at home.
Mary Ann is preceded in death by her adoring husband of 58 years, Fred A Driscoll, Jr.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Fred Driscoll, III and his wife, Cathy; her two daughters, Ann Driscoll Berryman, and Martha Driscoll Lewis and her husband, Bill; her seven grandchildren, Dorothy Woods and her husband, Mike; Jason Berryman, Carol Smith and her husband, Daniel; Mary Beth Driscoll, Patrick Driscoll, Dillon Lewis and Sara Lewis; her four great-grandchildren, Megan Woods, Rachel Woods, Jacob Smith and Noah Smith; and numerous other family members and friends.
