Marguritte Mcclellan

Pastor Marguritte McClellan was born on 3/23/1938 to the parentage of Henry and Willie Mae Dixon in Wisner, Louisiana. She departed this life on May 29, 2020. Pastor McClellan accepted Christ at an early age. In 1961, she was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost.

She worked at Parkland Hospital as a nurses’ aid as well as TI. She participated in several well known fashion shows and was offered a modeling career with JET magazine.

Pastor McClellan was very active member in her church. She was involved with the drill team and the music ministry. She was known all over the U.S. for her ministries which included preaching.

She was married to Bishop Jessie McClellan for 52 years.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents: John Cooper and Jeanette Brown, parents: Willie Mae Jackson and Henry Dixon, Two sisters: Beatrice Henry and Irma lee Dixon, and her daughter: Co-Pastor Patricia Hughes.

Those left to cherish her memories: husband, Bishop Jessie McClellan, seven children: Co-Pastor Danny Lyons Sr., Co-Pastor Aaron Brown (Melvin), Tanga Reynolds (Leonard), Sheryl Vasquez (Mario), Fayta Jean McClellan, Charles McClellan, Jeffery McClellan (Cora), sister Dorothy Hines, 21 grandchildren, and a host of great grands, great-great grands, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
