Luisa Maria Martinez, 77, of Dallas, Texas went to her heavenly reward on June 1, 2015. Luisa was born in Corbet, Texas on October 11,1937 to Maria Isabel Granado and Francisco Martinez. Her only sibling was Eleanor Martinez Rosales. Luisa was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her beloved son, Martin Lorenzo Reyes preceded her in death December 15, 2013. Marty studied to be a court reporter, worked as a paralegal and later worked for many years at Merit Energy Company where he was greatly valued as an employee and where he enjoyed a warm friendship with his colleagues. Marty also ran his own business doing Spanish Translations for court cases.
Kelly Dan Silva, faithful son, came all the way from Quebec, Canada to pay his respects to his adoptive mother, Luisa. Kelly has two beautiful children with his life partner in Canada. Isabel and Delilah are overjoyed to learn that they still have a brother who will stand beside them.
Left to cherish Luisa's memories are her daughter Isabel Rodriguez and her husband Samuel Rodriguez. Isabel has been a school teacher with the Grand Prairie Independent School District for 30 years where she has touched the lives of countless children, parents, and fellow teachers. Luisa's daughter Delilah Dotremon and her husband Ruben Gonzalez greatly mourn her passing. Luisa's perseverance was instilled in her daughter from a young age, and with her support Delilah became an attorney and university professor who has worked in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Florida, and Alabama.
It was Luisa's example and determination that helped all her children succeed and this model of perseverance was passed on to her only granddaughter Angelica Rubi Aguilera who is a speech pathologist and a happy mother of three beautiful children: Michael, Isaac, and Mercedes. Angelica and her husband Michael Aguilera greatly mourn the passing of her grandmother.
Luisa leaves much love to her beloved nieces: Diana, Rosie, and Monica Rosales as well as to her brother-in-law Gilberto Rosales.
Luisa wishes peace, happiness, and lots of money to her many relatives and friends!
Luisa will reunite in the Lord's heavenly glory alongside her son, Martin Lorenzo Reyes, her mother, Maria Isabel Granado, her father, Francisco Martinez; and her beloved sister Eleanor Martinez Rosales.
