Mott, TX on 01/27/1928. At the age of 20, Louie enlisted in the Air Force and served for 4 years as a
Radio Operator, 3 of which were during the Korean War. Upon returning home in 1952, he purchased
his first love - a brand new Mercury. Soon after, Louie drove that Mercury to the Ross Dance Hall and
met the true love of his life, Evelyn Polansky from Tours, TX. They married on July 18, 1953 at St.

baseball/softball player and coach. He played on several senior softball teams (local and traveling) up
until the age of 82 and also coached many of his children's baseball and softball teams. Louie was a
huge fan and mentor to his grandchildren in their sports endeavors.
He worked on just about everything that was electrical or motorized, especially lawn equipment, and
would spend hours in 'The Red Barn' tinkering on anything family, friends, and neighbors needed
repaired. His other passions were farming, gardening, and dancing. Louie enjoyed dancing and
listening to Polka music and watching Molly B and Polka Joe on TV.
Evelyn and Louie had 10 children total, 8 surviving - Louis Wayne Olsovsky (Connie), Carol E Smith
