Lionel Solis III, 37 passed away July 23, 2023 in Mansfield, Texas. He was born May 20,1986 in Dallas, Texas to Adelita Perez Solis and Lionel Solis, Jr. Lionel was raised in Dallas and attended Townview Law Magnet School where he graduated in 2004.
He was an operations manager at Gulfstream Aerospace where he worked for more than eleven years.
Mr. Solis was a proud member of the United States Marine Corps where he served as a Sergeant. During his time in the military he served honorably in Operation Iraqi Freedom on behalf of his country.
Lionel married Jazmine Conception Segura, and together they created the perfect blended family which included 3 beautiful children, Anthony Solis, Olivia Solis, and Leilani Golden. This was his greatest accomplishment in his life and he was truly a proud father. In his spare time, he enjoyed attending Texas Rangers' games, grilling, excelling in his career, exercising, golfing, grilling amazing steaks, hosting fish frys, along with hosting friends and family in his home. He especially enjoyed the time he had with his family watching movies.
His family and friends will remember him for always placing their needs first, always making sure his children were loved and cared for, making everyone feel welcome, loved and causing them to have a smile on their face while being the most humble and selfless person known. As a result, he was a great husband, father, son, brother, and friend that worked tremendously hard to make his family know they were his first priority.
Lionel was preceded in death by Lionel Solis, Sr., Jose G. Perez, Herlinda M. Perez, Reynaldo Perez, and Jose Martin Solis. He is survived by his wife, Jazmine Solis; children, Anthony, Olivia, and Leilani; parents, Adelita and Lionel, Jr.; siblings, Jose(Joe) and Jennifer; his many military brothers, friends, and colleagues.
Family and friends may travel in procession from Gonzalez Funeral Home to the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery. Following the Memorial Service at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, guests are invited to a Memorial Reception hosted by the Military Brothers and Sisters. The reception will take place at the American Legion Post at 2804 S. Cockrell Hill Road, Dallas, Texas 75211.
