Leticia Loaiza

Leticia Loaiza, age 90, passed away on January 24, 2019 in Dallas, Texas. Leticia was born on May 28, 1928 in Salamina Caldas Colombia to Eleazar Loaiza and Herminia Uribe. She was raised in Manizales, Colombia where she met and married Vicente Romero in 1946 and the couple had five children.

Leticia was an aesthetician for more than fifteen years. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching novellas, keeping in touch with family and eating good food! She also loved gambling at the casinos in Oklahoma...the one-armed bandits were her best friends. Her family and friends will always remember her as being fun loving! Leticia loved a party, sharing food and memories with friends and was a giving person.

Leticia is preceded in death by her husband, Vicente Romero and two children, Fernando Romero and Mario Romero. Siblings, Ramon, Luis Angel, Alicia, Camilo and Isaura.

Leticia is survived by son, Omar Romero and his wife Olga Mora, daughter, Maria Carmenza Romero, son, Jorge Romero and his husband Ed George; daughters-in-law Doris Diaz and Mercedes Cortez as well as eight grandchildren.
