Leon Williams, 27, of Dallas, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by family and close friends, Sunday January 1, 2017 at Baylor University Medical Center. He will always be remembered as a loving son, nephew, cousin and friend to all that knew and loved him.
Leon was born in Atlanta, Georgia on January 5, 1989 to Donald Dixon and Rita Williams. Even as a youth, Leon’s presence was known to fill a room with laughter and positivity. He attended South Grand Prairie High School under the ROTC program. Leon always embraced challenges and faced with true strength and courage. He was a skilled personal trainer and massage therapist who had a strong passion for motivating people to strive for the best. Leon’s happy go lucky personality was contagious and inspired all of those who encountered him.
Leon loved his family dearly and will be missed by all who loved him. He is survived by his mother Rita Williams, Aunt Clarice Thomas; Uncles David Thomas, Anthony Williams, James Williams, Donald Williams, Kirt Williams; cousins Chadrice Thomas, Donnie Williams, Alicia Williams, Camille Williams, Kindred Williams, Lynette Williams, Jamisha Williams; and son Garren Williams-Manoy.
He was preceded in death by his twin brother Deon Williams 1989, Uncle Larry Williams 2013; and Grandmother Lula Williams 1992.
A Memorial Service will be at 2:00 pm – 4 pm on Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Chapel, 7405 W. Northwest Hwy., Dallas, TX 75225. A Reception will follow the memorial service.
