Thank you God for this wonderful man, husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was born in Oklahoma City January 27, 1941 to Raymond and Phyllis Hagan and passed away in Dallas on February 21, 2021. Upon graduation from Northwest Classen High School in Oklahoma City, Kirk was recruited by the University of Kansas Track Team, joined Beta Theta Pi fraternity and went on to excel in academics and running, accruing many awards in both, including the USA record in 1961 for the 2 mile relay.
Upon graduation in 1963 he joined the US army, married Kendall Waggoner, Kirkwood, MO in July 1964 beginning 56 years of a blessed marriage, returned from Viet Nam in 1965, attended Wharton Graduate School, University of Pennsylvania. Before starting work for Continental Illinois National Bank and Trust Company of Chicago in 1967, Kirk and Kendall started their lifelong love of travel by visiting East Africa. They moved to New York City and London, England where he was manager of the bank. Moved back to Oklahoma City to work for Hahn, the family trucking business then as CFO for Charles Bowen, OKC Freightliner. He helped the Oklahoma City Food Bank grow into a regional concern before retiring in Dallas. He and Kendall continued their travels visiting all seven continents. Kirk dearly loved and was extremely proud of our children: Kelly Jennings, Episcopal priest, Kevin Hagan, retired Naval Officer and Keith Hagan, Attorney, and our seven grandchildren, Fletcher, Jamison, Vitaly, Maria, Eamon, Bess and Maeve. Our thanks to the loving care he received in the Healthcare units of Ventana by Buckner. Service will be held on March 26 at 11am at the Church of the Incarnation Episcopal Church, Dallas. 214-521-5101. Seating is limited. In lieu of flowers please donate to your local Food Bank.
