Wow, where to start, You both were our first good friends when we moved to Maypearl, Texas.  Sharing dinners and cookouts together; Our kids all played and hung out, our son Carson played baseball with your son, Thomas. I remember you both coming to be the first to visit our twins in NICU! You both were the first true friends to get to babysit our twins.  We have such sweet memories of both of your big hearts and very giving.  
JC especially had the biggest heart for the Lord, his family, and friends. You both raised a close and loving family and JC's Legacy will definitely live on through his family!  Bea, you and JC shared such a beautiful, precious and close Love like no other.  I know you are lost without him, but I know he is watching over you. Y'all were our good friends, we miss you and thank you for everything you gave of yourself.  We have great memories and excellent times we spent together as a family with your family.  We Love you both and JC - we know you are with God in Heaven.  Missed but never forgotten!

You were a great family man who loved his wife and children dearly.  We have lots of great memories of you inviting the whole congregation over your home for cook-outs and bible studies. Your bar-b-que's were the best.  You certainly are now singing 
(I Can Only Imagine) in person face to face with Jesus.  Brother you were taken way too soon.   You did not leave us - God called you home.
I recall on several occasions that you would stop by our home just to say hello and reconnect after you and your family moved away to a different town;  and no longer members of our church in Oak Cliff.  Just you coming by to visit us; blessed our heart because you always had such a great Love for God and love for people.  You always included us as your Church family, We love you brother JC until we all see you again in Heaven with Almighty Jesus!

Brother in Christ and fellow Officer,
My memory is the first day on our work shift was you were quick to say and share your were a Christian.  And how you lead all 15 Officers, that day in prayer before we started our 12 hour work shift.  You will be dearly missed but never forgotten!  Words alone can not express our loss of your presence at the Wayne McCollum Detention Center and at the Ellis County Sheriff's Office.  Also, all the staff miss your bright smile and positive attitude.  You are missed a whole lot not only by your fellow Officers but also by all the inmates who miss you sharing the word of God and holding prayer call at the end of your shift!  Thank you brother for being that Officer who treated them all with respect and dignity, which they so rightfully deserve.   

My prayers are for your family and love ones is to now; learn to live without you. This will be a very difficult road indeed and they have a long, long journey ahead of them with the healing process.  Praying for your wife's cause in seeking Justice for you my brother.  It breaks my heart to know - You were taken way too soon!  Only God knows why?  Maybe to change the world just as you did!         

I would like to say that it was an Honor to know Mr. J. C. Martinez. I had the privilege of getting to know JC as a Detention Officer for the Ellis County Sheriff’s Office when I conducted his background for employment not once but twice. I can say that JC seemed to always have a Big Smile and had a positive outlook on life. JC got along with Officers and went out of his way to make sure his coworkers were safe. JC was one that could be depended on to show up for work and complete his duties. It was really good to know JC, he was one that was easy to talk to and every now and then he would have a joke to tell. JC was a friend, he will and has been missed. I will continue to keep the family in our thoughts and prayers 🙏🏽🙏🏽. 


Where do I begin, my padrino was very strict but also very loving. He never said no to you when you asked for helped, he always had a plan. I still remember when I first met him and my madrina. I will always cherish all the times we had together, I wish I could've had more with him. It's true what they say, you never know what you have until its gone..... Padrino I love you and miss you very much. 

There were so many memories with our dad that now looking back, I begin to realize how blessed we really were. He taught me so many things, I will never forget he words of encouragement. I honestly thought we had more time, how wrong was I. Our Dad is truly the greatest man I ever knew. If one memory is all we get to share than it would have to be the love he had for my mother. From cards, flowers, and nice dinners to the constant home improvement projects for her. There wasn’t a weekend that went by that my dad was working on something for my mom.  I cherish these memories, he taught me the true value of love for someone. So many memories but knowing my father married his best friend made all the difference. Another is having the pleasure to have worked alongside him with Ellis County sheriffs department in corrections and going on deliveries  with him are just some more awesome shared memories. I think to myself asking my dad “ what are ras pa pas?”  And asking him what would you do scenarios just to hear his answer. I know this world is only temporary, it was one of the many things he would remind us about. In John 16:22. We read “Therefore you too have grief now; but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.” Til we see see you again.


A special memory that I have and hold about Brother JC Martinez is when he would sing before the Church "I can only imagine" by MercyMe. Brother JC always sang that song with such passion, assurance, and love because he knew in his heart that one day, he would be in the Lord's presence worshipping Him! Brother JC no longer needs to imagine what it will be like walking by his Saviors side or what his eyes will see when His face is before him, for we have a great assurance in knowing that Brother JC lives in the reality of being in the very presence of our Almighty God, to see Him and walk with Him for all eternity! Brother JC left a beautiful legacy and reminder that one day, we will see Jesus face to face, surrounded by God's glory! Tío JC was such a kind man and really was a great influence in my life along with Aunt Bea 🤍 the love he had for The Lord and the way He allowed Jesus to transform his life transformed mine. I remember when he and the family first came down to CA, we had so much fun just getting to know each other. I was marked by his testimony and remember wanting to have him be the pastor for my quinceañera, he was so nervous he was shaking and sweating haha I was so honored that he would share with the rest of my family about Jesus and why it was important to put our faith and hope in Christ. He was such a father, you didn’t have to be around him a lot to see that. I remember when he taught us how to have fun in the country side of Texas haha he had Breanna and I ride lawnmowers, it was the best! I will always remember the life and legacy of you Tío, you were a man who really let Christ shine in and through your life, fully surrendered. Thank you for that example, I truly am thankful to have had you as an uncle in this life. Until we see each other again in the presence of our Savior Jesus Christ! love you so much Tio JC!

Way too many good memories to share. 

JC was an honorable man that loved his family, and worked hard. The love for his family extended way beyond his wife and kids. The choices he made, and actions he took, will continue to positively impact generations.

JC was always willing to help. I remember him dropping everything to help me change out my water heater when mine decided to flood my house one fourth of July. 

I remember tons of stories and jokes around fires, grills, and dinner tables. He was always able to brighten a room, and his memory will continue to warm the hearts of those who knew him. 



JC was full of life. My wife , Mandi and I moved out to Maypearl right after getting married . There we met JC and Beatrice . JC was a hard working man. He loved his wife and children deeply. JC was a funny guy. He was always telling jokes and stories.  JC would help anyone do anything they ask. JC had an everlasting impact on my family. Though we will miss him here on this earth, we will see him again in Heaven.  God rest his soul!!


I don't think there was a day that Julio and I weren't hanging out. This was our first paying job and I don't remember if we went to M.E Moses for pea shooter, army men, or the candy house again. I do remember Julio saying his mom would take his money. 

I can see a lot of Julio back then and how it manifested to who he became. He was always a hard worker and was the best in anything he put his mind to.

Clint P. Russel - I don't really remember if Julio and I actually did any work. All I remember is playing around and Julio yelling "Jim has no land". That was Mr. Nolands (left) name. We were bad.

Elementary was the best. The best because Julio and I were in the Safety Patrol and would monitor the halls and tackle kids who didn't have a pass. Any little money we had was a trip to the candy house where Julio would get things on credit.  His favorite was crunch and munch and nachos. 

One day we skipped school because we thought we heard a UFO. Not really but any excuse was a reason to skip class. Dunno if his mom ever found out.

I think about this often now and will always remember the fun we had around the neighborhood.

I'm a friend of Julio's from long past. I remember who you were as a young teenager working for me at a grocery store ,him and my cousin knew each other as young kids. I can tell you that you were a vibrant young man full of life and a smile that was very contagious to all. I got to know him and his wife Beatrice again many years later when I became a police officer in Cockrell Hill. I knew Julio and Beatrice as very ambitious,  as they worked their business. 
But every time I saw Julio, he was all smiles,  and had this radiance of life around him. Julio and Beatrice were the perfect couple 💑 
You can say they completed each other.

JC Martinez was a Dear Friend/Brother in Christ,

God allowed our paths to cross when we became Neighbors in 2006. Our Families started having Bible Studies and also eating together. I’ll always treasure the times that we spent together. JC had a way of telling clean jokes that would give you a good belly laugh. When JC and Beatrice moved we still stayed in contact and tried to get together as time allowed. We’re now missing JC however we know that we’ll see him again in Heaven. 
May God’s Blessings and Love embrace Beatrice/Family during these difficult times. Don’t be surprised if you grieve more for a friend than you did for a recently deceased relative. The old saying, ‘You pick your friends, relatives are thrust upon you,’ holds true here. Friends are special people in our eyes because we hold them to be. I still can remember the day I met JC when he moved his banking relationship to Resource One Credit Union.   He and his lovely bride, Beatrice,  were an enterprising and aspiring couple who not only wanted to improve their financial well being but set a positive example for their children.  It didn't take long before his true passion was revealed.    JC was a man with immeasurable faith and he lived it.  There was immediate affirmation that God had purposed our path crossing in this life, and we would often greet each other with the word, "brother".   I was always amused by his colorful character.   He always found something to laugh about or smile at.  He was the quintessential jack-of-all-trades, but a master of love.  He adored his wife, loved his children, and was inspired by his family and friends.  It's hard to reconcile in my mind his passing, but I still feel his presence in my spirit.  That's the kind of man he was to everyone, a transcended spirit.  The body starts the process of dying the minute we're born, but our spirits are eternal, in particularly those who die in Christ.  To his wife and children, you will not be forsaken, and the Lord will give you that peace, that surpasses all understanding.

        

When I first met JC I knew quickly he would be one of my favorite people. He reminded me of my father, strong, caring and a man of God. We quickly became family as I would have dinner and fellowship with him and Beatrice often. It would also put a huge smile on my face watching him play and entertain his grandchildren. They love him so much. My prayer is that we could all be as forgiving and loving as JC. We can direct other back to the cross and continue to spread love and compassion. JC you will be a permanent memory in my life. 

To my beloved friend Beatrice I want to extend my sympathy and I want to remind her that the memories Mr. J.C leaves are very heart warming to many people and I am one of them. I met Mr. J.C. and Beatrice in January of 2018 and I will always remember Mr. JC for his hospitable manner and how he always invited me to their beautiful home for prayer! Those are the memories that I have left in my heart from my missed friend Mr. J.C.  God is now holding him in HIS ARMS. You are definitely missed Mr. J.C.!! 

My Tio Julio, cause that is what I called him. I remember the first time I heard here comes JC... I was like who? That’s Tio Julio, who is JC??? Lol My Tio... was fun, crazy, adventurous, witty, smart, innovative, a great cook, a family loving man, a great husband, cherished father, and AN AMAZING UNCLE! I, will never forget our conversations, how you would give me advice on situations. You were always available to talk and kept our conversations between us. You have helped and been an inspiration to so many people. Thank you for believing in me, because of you I am a better woman. I miss your smile, your jokes, your compassion, but what I miss the most is time spent with you. Rest peacefully Tio. I love and miss you. 

Julio is my youngest brother. As a sister you want to protect and care for your brothers as a mother would. I will always remember him playing with his little green soldiers. He was very talented and ready to take on whatever came his way.  I am glad that I spent time with him at the hospital. He knows that I love him and he will always be in my heart. I can not express the heart ache..........., he is at peace and living forever.

To My Tio Julio, Thank you for truly showing me how a man is suppose to love and cherish his wife like you did Tia B. Y'all had the cutest relationship to be together for so long from high school. 
You where so smart and knew how to do just about anything and if you didn’t you learned and then did it. I learned how valuable it is to know how to build things or learn how to fix things, because I wouldn’t be dependent on someone else. You were such an amazing dad always making sure thom nano n Juztin knew how to do or fix something. You were so fun and carefree full of life. 
I remember the spring break and summer of 2016 I spent a lot more time with y’all at the house I’m maypearl. I remember I sat with y’all and we played dominoes and tio Julio taught me how to play . And I’ll never forget how funny it was because the game got so real lol y’all were slamming the domino and yelling and pointing fingers who was cheating or was wrong. I also remember the time we were all out around the fire and y’all were trying to scare me with the scary stories of how y’all “saw something sitting high in the trees” lol . You were always singing and dancing and I can’t remember what song was playing, but we were all about to get ready to go back to Dallas and some song came on and you starting dancing and shaking your butt and you caught me me recording and we both started laughing. 
And I can’t forget that time y’all came over for Christmas Eve and we all sung songs and you were in the kitchen singing and Tia was right by your side. 
And one more! This was so soo long ago when I was little, it was my first time riding a horse and you put me on bucket or blue I forgot which one and the were telling what to do and hold the rope and for some reason I wanted to do what I always saw in the movies and kicked him on the sides and said giddy up! And he took OFF I was so scared and my mom was scared and y’all were trying to catch him to slow him down and get me. Lol love you Tio❤️

Meeting you has been one the most exciting moments of my life.  I never got the opportunity to tell you how much I appreciate you for being a male role model for your godsons. Your talks and wisdom will definitely be missed. I’ll never forget the UFO story that you told the boys and they were terrified on the ride home from waxahachie to DeSoto 😂😂😂

   I still can’t believe that you are gone, it has been hard for me to except the fact that you are no longer here. I will always be grateful for the memories and time we shared together... We were so fortunate to have been met JC.  We were more than friends we were family.  We had so many laughs and good times but what stood out was JC love for God. JC - Such a wonderful man of God to his family and friends!
My greatest memory was when the song by Mercy Me - I can only imagine hit the charts.  JC would play it before bible study and literally have tears running down his face. He loved Jesus so much we could feel the love in the room.  Now he is face to face with our Savior JESUS surrounded by his glory!  Gone from our sight but never from our heart.  Praying for your family and friends!


It’s so hard to say goodbye…JC
I will never forget the text that I got Saturday night, January 30th from my sister.  It said, JC is gone and he is in heaven now.  I read this and I couldn’t believe what I was reading.  Gone.  Heaven.  What?  This can’t be.  In the days to follow, I was able to hear more details about JC and his fight to hold onto life.  JC did fight.  He fought hard to beat this but in the end, it didn’t happened.  I have asked myself more times than I can count, why did this happen?  And I still have no answer.  All I am left with is a broken heart and one question.  Why?  The takeaway for me now is this.  JC is no longer with us.  However, his memories and his legacy will live on.  
JC’s abrupt departure reminds me to live for today and not take tomorrow for granted.  No man is guaranteed tomorrow.  JC’s life was cut short.  Our lives are but a vapor.  So let us be aware that our days are numbered.  I believe JC lived a full life.  I believe JC lived his life to the fullest.  What I know and remember about JC is that he was all about his family and he loved his wife.  To his credit, JC never spoke of how pretty another woman might be (not even once) and that’s because he only saw the beauty that was in front of him, my sister Beatrice.
Where is JC right now?  I believe he is resting.  Resting until it’s time for the rest of us to join him and go to that eternal party that will last forever.  
If there is one thing that I will always remember JC by it will be that he was faithful until the end.  And I know if we are faithful until the end, we will be rewarded.  
Things I will miss:  Your special brisket, your crazy dance moves, your cool jail stories, your laughter, and your smile.  Basically, what I’m trying to say is that I will miss everything about you.  
Thank you for being an excellent husband to my dear sister.  Thank you for being great father to your beautiful children.   Thank you for being a great brother-in-law to me.  

I've known Julio and Bea since I was 16.  Their love for each other was apparent. Julio was such a loving, faithful husband , best friend, Best man. I remember going to Beatrice and JCs wedding and he sang Juntos by Emilio Navaira.  They way he looked at her ,he looked at her with such love. He reassured her of his love, when it was blessed by God. He will be greatly missed.  Julio and Bea are very special , faithful servants  of Jesus Christ, I love them so much.   Many years ago I was in the hospital and couldn't take care of my baby. They took her in  like their own and cared for her.   When I was a single mother I was talking to Julio and Beatrice  about my car and Julio changed the oil for me without charging me, he was such  an amazing person. We kind of grew up together. Julio and Beatrice are my best friends. I love them so much , I will be forever grateful to Julio  and his angel ways.

Dejo de ser el agente que nos ayudó a comprar nuestra 1a casa y luego otra y otra pasó a ser parte de nuestra familia, eres y serás por siempre el padrino de nuestra nieta... nos quedan los recuerdos de cuando nos reuníamos a comer o cenar pasaban las horas muy rápido, nos faltaba tiempo para seguir platicando, para intercambiar reseta de cocina, proyectos para nuestra casa, para la familia..... vimos crecer a nuestros hijos, reímos y lloramos juntos... fueron muchos muchos momentos juntos que ahora son recuerdos, buenos recuerdos.  Que quedan aquí en nuestra memoria y corazón.  Se te extaña  ya.. Pero se  que ahora estás en un lugar mejor al lado de nuestro Señor. Julio(JC),  I  remember  you as a great, kind man, strong  in faith ,loving God.  You would put on 3 stooges tv show and just laugh with us.  Bbq and fishing with  the Martinez family are cherished memories. I can still hear you calling  for us kids to come eat. For  a good part of my childhood  I saw the love you had with Bea and your family. Your love and faith   is an inspiration. You were an amazing  person who leaves a legacy no one will forget. You are very loved by everyone  who had the chance to meet you. I continue  to pray for the Bea, juliano,  Amanda, Thomas and Juztin , josiah and Gabriel and the Martinez family, may God give  yall peace . I love yall

My husband Kenny and I were blessed to meet JC and his wonderful family all due to answering an ad on Craigslist.   The ad was for a dog free to good home. Well anyone who knows JC and Bea knows not only did we get Bluebelle that day we also gained a family.   It was easy to see that JC was a kind and loving man who put his family first.  Always made sure his family had what they needed, knew they were loved and that he had their back. 

My god-father was an amazing person, at that an amazing cooker! All the happy memories that I have created, I still can’t believe he is gone...r.i.p.

You were definitely a man after Gods own heart. Your life may have been short here on earth but you definitely made a huge difference in this world for sure.  I know that you loved Beatrice very much I never saw  the two of you apart and you loved each one of your children and proud of each and every one of them and your grandsons there was nothing you wouldn’t do for them.  Your life has just begun in paradise with our God. I will miss you dearly here on earth but I rejoice even more because you are where we all long to be one day. Want to say, this man and his wife r the best people ever. They r so kind and giving and r very dear to my families heart. His children , his wife will miss him dearly. We lost a good man. But God has a plan. Miss u J C. 

My favorite memory of Tio Julio was when I used to spend the nights with you, Gabriel and Josiah.  Also I enjoyed playing pool with at Gabriel  ninja turtles birthday party. I remember playing bean bag toss with you in your backyard and you trying to cheat haha 😆. I will cherish the dinosaur box you made me for my dinosaur egg you got me. Thank you for being a great uncle love and miss you Tio Julio. 

To my be loved baby brother you left us to soon who knew this was going to happen 5 month after mom left that you where going to join her in heaven.  I can't believe you where living right behind me house for a whole year and we did even visit each other I wish I would have known where you where living now am left with tears and pain in my heart cause my baby brother is on and I didn't have the chance to hug you kiss you and tell you how much I loved you.

Tio julio te vamos ha extrañar por siempre.  Nos dejastes de recuerdo muchos,pero en especial tu sonrisa y tus bromas. No va haber otro como tu pero los recuerdos que nos dejas.  Son tan hermosos que siempre los vamos ha llevar en nuestros corazones te decimos hasta pronto.  Porque nos veremos haya con dios en el cielo,que es en donde tu estas.
