Jose Joe "Joe" Gomez

Joe Gomez, 77 of Dallas, Texas passed away on September 25, 2014. Joe was born in Dallas in December of 1936 to parents, Narciso and Viviana Gomez. He served his country for 9 years in the United States Army. Joe was a wonderful and kind soul who loved to be with his family and friends. Blessed with 77 years to live a full life, he leaves behind an indelible mark on the hearts of all those who he knew and loved. Beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend will be dearly missed.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Viviana and Narciso Gomez and Step-Son, Robert J. Galvan. He is survived by his wife, Carmen N. Gomez; Sons, Daniel and George Gomez and their spouses; Daughters, Yvonne Scruggs, Cynthia J. Brown and Step-Daughter, Christina D. White and their spouses; Brothers, Eliseo Gomez; Step-Brother, Isabel Gomez and their Spouses, numerous grandchildren, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends during a Visitation on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at the Calvary Hill Funeral Home Chapel from 4-8 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at the Calvary Hill Mausoleum North Chapel. Interment will follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery.
