CARPENTER, Johnny Bob 7/18/1943 - 2/8/2020 Johnny Bob Carpenter passed away February 8th, 2020, at his home in McKinney, Texas. He was born in Norfolk, Virginia, on July 18th, 1943. He was a graduate of John Tyler High School and earned a Bachelor's degree from Southern Methodist University where he dominated and killed it on a double scholarship for Baseball and Basketball. We will never forget his gift of bringing laughter to any person, room, or circumstance in front of him. He will forever live in our hearts and memories and will continue to bring laughter to so many lives he impacted with his perseverance and positivity. He is preceded in death by his wife of 55 years Una Jane Carpenter, mother, Mary Florence Carpenter, father, Robert M Carpenter. He is survived by daughter, Mary Jane, son's John and Richy and their wives Melissa and Karin. He had eight grandchildren Hunter, Corley, Abby Jane, Koy, Cash, Austin, Karis, and Jack. Memorial services will be held at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home at 12 o'clock, February 14, 2020.
