Joe Cedillo was raised in Dallas, Texas and graduated from Thomas Jefferson Highschool in 1984. He married Blanca Cedillo in 1989 and the couple had two children. He was a photographer for more than thirty years.
In his spare time, Joe enjoyed spend time with loved ones - bringing laughter into their lives with his jokes, stories and playful spirit. He loved watching war movies and documentaries, building and painting military figurines, always adding to his precious collection. He especially loved soccer, never losing the love for the game even when his age and health kept him from taking a dive at the goalies post. He loved listening to all kinds of music, especially at bonfire gatherings with his family moments, that would be passed on for generations to come after him.
His family and friends will always remember him as a man of profound wisdom and a gifted storyteller, always eager to share his words with anyone willing to listen. He was a loving husband, father, grandad, son, brother, uncle, coach, friend and person.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Joe Cedillo and Rosanna Cedillo.
He is survived by Blanca Cedillo, Cristian Cedillo and Madeline Cedillo.
A visitation for Joe will be held Friday, October 4, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Gonzalez Funeral Home, 3050 N STEMMONS FWY, DALLAS, TX 75247, followed by a prayer service from 6:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
