Joanna Louise Carcelli was born on July 7, 1959, in Dallas, TX, to John and Evelyn Carcelli. She was the youngest of four siblings and was referred to as the baby from the day she was born until she became of school age. She will be remembered for her love, infectious laugh, a smile that lit up the room and a sense of humor that made her the life of the party. Joanna had a compassionate heart and wisdom far beyond her years. Her family and friends could confide in her in any situation they were experiencing, whether it was sadness, joy, misfortune or just needing a friend to listen. Her responses were always filled with love, understanding and exactly what you needed to hear to lift your spirits. She had this special gift and shared it freely with everyone.
Joanna was an employee of Batory Foods for 21 years and was a loyal, dedicated employee and respected by all. She loved working as the operations manager for Batory Foods and often shared with us, her work day, accomplishments, and solving problems with the challenges of operations manager. She spoke highly of her staff, piers and management and how fortunate she was to be a part of a successful company.
Joanna is preceded in death by her beloved parents, John and Evelyn Carcelli, her endearing brother, Frank Michael Carcelli and the love of her life, Kenny Smith. She is survived by her loving twin sisters, Marianna Cole, Zelinda Johnson and husband Don; her affectionate nieces, Amy Willis, Emily Davis and great nieces and nephew, Aubrey, Madison, Brooklyn, London and Trenton who called her “Aunt Jo”
Joanna is so greatly missed now and forever and will live in our hearts until we meet again.
