Jimmy L Hopgood

Jimmy L. Hopgood of Glenn Heights, passed away January 13, 2020 in Dallas. Jimmy was born April 2, 1942 in Ennis Texas to the late Henry W.(Hoppy) and Thelma Lee Sharp Hopgood. He worked for 22 years, helping the homeless, at the Salvation Army in Dallas. He loved fishing, bowling and spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends and all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Hopgoood, originally from South Dakota, who was the love of his life for thirty years, one son Scott and Mechelle Hopgood of Ft Worth and one daughter Misti and Phil Kurzendoefer of South Carolina; two step sons Andy and Connie Davis of Jacksonville Texas and Allen Davis of Glenn Heights; two sisters, Deborah Mosley of Greenville Alabama and Barbara Sue and Curtis Stuart of Ennis Texas; Five grandchildren, two step grandchildren, two great grandchildren and 1 great step grandson; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Jimmy was proceeded in death by his parents, a brother Billy Joe Hopgood and a brother-in-law, Doug Mosley.

Services will be held January 18, 2020 at Calvary Hill Funeral Home and Cemetery 3235 Lombardy Ln Dallas, Texas. Visitation will start at 10:00 am January 18, 2020. Mass of Christian Burial funeral at 12:00 pm. with a reception at 1:30 p/m.
