Jimmy D. Darden, Jr., 58, passed away June 25, 2011, in Dallas. Jimmy was born October 1, 1952, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to Jimmy David Darden, Sr. and Betty Jean Burson Darden. A 1970 graduate of Carter High, Jimmy also graduated from Dallas Baptist College in 1975. Jimmy retired after 32 years with ATT, allowing him time to enjoy the Rangers Baseball where he was their #1 fan. Jimmy was a member of the Masonic Lodge #1269. He was preceded in death by his father. Jimmy is survived by his wife, Debbie Darden; daughters, Shannon Blanchard, Mandy George, Holly Ward (Tim) and Haley Darden; grandchildren, Trevor Slaughter, Graci Blanchard, Kynnedi, Savannah and Olivia Ward; mother, Betty Darden; brother, Donny Darden (Dawne); nephew, David Darden; other family and friends. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday. Services, 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at Grove Hill Funeral Home. Interment: Grove Hill Memorial Park.
