Jimmie Louis Morris was born in January 14, 1939 to the late Henry and Vera Morris in Gary, Texas. He was third of eight children. He graduated from Turner High School in Carthage, Texas. He accepted Christ in earlier years and later in life re-dedicated his life to Christ.
In 1950, Jimmie moved to Dallas, Texas. On January 23, 1966, he married Sammie Mae. To his union two children was born, Sandra and Melvin. They enjoyed 34 years of marriage until her death.
After his wife Sammie passed on, he united in marriage to Addie Robinson on December 23, 2000, and they enjoyed 22 years of marriage.
Jimmie worked as a local driver many years delivering soft drinks. He also worked as a cab driver for 30 plus years and enjoyed meeting people from all over the world and driving them to the places they needed to go. He really enjoyed talking to people.
He is preceded in death by his parents, previously wife, Sammie Morris; son, Melvin; two sisters, Betty Jo, Laurnetta Wimbley; three brothers, Willie Lewis (Bill), Henry Junior (Bootsie), and Cicero.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 22 years, Addie Morris, six children, Jimmy Harvey, David Harvey, Richard Fininen, Sandra McCullar; grandchildren, Laquita, Kendrick, Kuestion, Jessica, Terri, Stephanie, Danielle, Sunshine, William, Nitsuwa Barnes (Jalen), Jelani, Wilnaesha, T-Aunt Junior, Gavyn; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
