June 11, 1924 – August 15, 2011
Jeanne was born June 11, 1924 in Dallas, Texas, the daughter of Tolbert and Johnnie Lee Stovall.; she died Monday August 15, 2011 at Christian Care Center in Mesquite, Texas. Jeanne married Claude Richard Page, Jr., on May 2, 1942. They had two daughters, Penny Jo and Pamela Jeanne. Jeanne’s mother, Johnnie Lee passed away in 1957. Jeanne and Claude made their home in the Casa View area where they raised their two daughters. While Jeanne was raising her two daughters, she was always the volunteer to lead the activities that the girls were involved in. She was a leader for the Brownies & for the Girl Scouts. After the girls married, Jeanne and Claude continued to enjoy living in the Casa View area. Over the years Jeanne & Claude attended Sears and Summit, Pearl and Bryan and Garland Road Churches of Christ. Jeanne & Claude began attending the Church of Christ at the Christian Care Center when her father, Tolbert, moved there in the mid 1970s. Jeanne also began volunteering at the CCC. Her father passed away in 1983 and Jeanne & Claude continued attending church there along with her volunteering for over thirty years. Sometimes Jeanne & Claude vacationed with their daughter Pamela and her husband, Michael. They even joined Pam and Mike on trips to Hawaii & to Europe, but their favorite trip was when they visited Pam and Mike in Korea, when Mike was stationed there in the Air Force. Jeanne’s husband Claude, passed away in 2007. During her latter years Jeanne enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, (especially her tomatoes) and she absolutely loved her hot tub, just out of her back door. She made a practice of sitting in her hot tub almost every day and often said that when the time came she wanted to be buried with her hot tub. Throughout her life she was known as a gracious and caring lady who never had a bad word to say about anyone. Jeanne’s daughter Penny passed away in 2010. Today, she is survived by her daughter Pamela, her grandchildren, Richard & Tracy, three great-grand children (Cedes, Shelby & Brandon), and several nieces and nephews.
