Jane & her parents were early charter members of Elmwood Methodist Church in Oak Cliff. She was baptized at the church in 1939. Throughout her life, Jane aided the church in any way she could in order to hold steadfast to her faith & remain connected to the church community.
Jane was a dedicated homemaker & faithful support to her husband. Together they created a home away from home at Cedar Creek Lake for which the entire family, crossing generations, created lasting memories that will be held close to their hearts. Additionally, she helped shape the family business & maintained an active role for most of her adult life.
She had a love of all sports, especially her beloved Dallas Cowboys. She could often be heard on Sunday’s in the 90s cheering & exclaiming “Go Emmitt”! She never missed an opportunity to watch any horse race including her own race horses in the late 70’s throughout the early 80’s.
Jane was the sweetest person & always took the time to inquire about everyone’s well-being. She loved listening to & learning about anyone she met. She had a sunny disposition, a giving heart, and was widely considered to be a grandmother to all. She will be missed by many.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Friday, October 29th 2021 at 10am at Laurel Land Cemetery (Dallas). In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that any donations be made to Elmwood Methodist Church (1315 Berkley Ave, Dallas TX 75224 www.elmwoodmethodistchurch.org).
