James Richard Welch Jr.

James Richard Welch, Jr., Age 81, of Richardson, Texas, passed away on Thursday, April 27, 2023 in Dallas, Texas.

He was born in Zalma, Missouri on October 2, 1941. James received his high school equivalency and also received a Bachelor's Degree in Business from Southern Methodist University.

James was married to Nancy Carroll Puckett on September 2, 1961 in Ardmore, Oklahoma.

He had a career in Accounting and worked for NCH Corporation, Pulte Homes and Piper Casepro. He was a member of Town North Presbyterian Church in Richardson, Texas and had a passion for golf and also fostered children from Hope Cottage with his wife, Nancy.

James was survived by his two sons - James Mark Welch and Todd Andrew Welch and one Niece - Lisa Renee Cobb. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law - Tammy Welch, one grandson - James Andrew Welch (KaLeigh) and one great granddaughter - Elliana Grace of Greenville, Texas. He was also survived by his sisters - Mavis and Pearly of Oklahoma and eldest sister Sylvia of Missouri and sister-in-law - Dortha of Arkansas.

A graveside service for James will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 from 10:15 AM to 11:00 AM at DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy., Dallas, TX 75211.
