James is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Russell; son, Ronnie Russell; and grandson, James Landrum. He is survived by his son, Jimmy Russell and wife, Linda of Garland, TX; daughters Sandy Beard and husband, David of Heath, TX, Gloria Landrum and husband, James of Balch Springs, TX; Sisters, Gay Nell Cooper of Bartlesville, OK, Claudette Isbell of Plano, TX; 9 grandchildren, Kim Sullivan, Mark Craft and wife Wendy, Steven Russell and wife Shalanda, Ronnie Russell, Chrissy Arendt, and Christopher Beard; 9 great-grandchildren, Ben, Kolby, and Britney Craft; Misty Caffey; Stormy Waggoner, Jeremy Treadwell and wife Amy; Justin Barnes; Dustin and Blake; 5 great-great grandchildren, Kylee, Lilly, Alex, Lexie, and Amilio; and a whole lot of friends and family. James was a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church in Balch Springs, TX. He loved the Lord, loved his family, and loved life. Having a good time was important to him, no matter where he was. He was proud of his family. Loved music and taught himself to play the bass guitar. A hard worker and good provider for his family. He never met a stranger. James was a veteran of the Korean War. Visitation will be Tuesday May 31, 2011, at 11:00AM, with Funeral Service to follow at 12:00PM, in Grove Hill Chapel. Interment to follow at Grove Hill Memorial Park.
