James Floyd Campbell passed away on Feb 21,2024 in Denton, TX where he was a long-time resident. Jim was born in Dallas, TX on Dec. 11, 1949, son of Herbert and Venia Campbell. He attended North Dallas High School where he graduated in 1967 after which he continued studies at Dallas Baptist University.

In that capacity, he hosted and entertained thousands of Denton and other north Texas residents; many of whom became lifelong friends. In his later years, he traded in his bar towel for a golf towel and joined Texas Women’s University as a groundskeeper where he could be paid for pursuing his passion.
Jim was preceded in death by his sister Julia Ann Campbell, his father Herbert Parsons Campbell Sr., and his mother Venia Ann Floyd Campbell. He is survived by his brother Herbert P. Campbell Jr as well as nieces Suzanne Lea Howard and Natalie Ann Fairbanks as well as great nieces Brittani Howard and Campbell Fairbanks and great nephew Logan Rex Campbell Howard.
