James Patrick ("Jay") Caine was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on June 3, 1949, the second of four sons of Robert and Irene Caine. He married Zulay Elena Matos, a native of Caracas, Venezuela, on January 26, 1978. Jay received a B.S. in Finance from George Mason University, where he was also the editor of the official student newspaper, Broadside. He had a long career in the financial services industry, and retired from Brandes Investment Partners in 2014. A faithful husband of 37 years, and loving father, he is survived by his wife Zulay, children Cristina and Alex, daughter-in-law Margaret, granddaughter Camilla, and brothers Robert and Martin. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 8th from 4-8pm; Rosary at 7pm at Calvary Hill Funeral Home - 3235 Lombardy Lane in Dallas. Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, April 9th at 10am at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church - 6306 Kenwood Ave in Dallas.
