Isabelle "Izzy" Grace Martin

Izzy was born in Plano, TX, on February 7th, 2010, the second child of Christine and David Martin. Izzy attended Episcopal School of Dallas, where she loved math and especially science. A dancer since age 2, Izzy appreciated the opportunities to express herself through art, and she cherished the comradery she found at Dance Industry Performing Arts Center in Plano.

Izzy was Roman Catholic and deeply loved the Lord. Infinitely selfless, even in her most difficult times, Izzy found ways to help others in her community. Much of that time was spent in service to others, working with Austin Street Center and United Way of Metropolitan Dallas. Seeing how underfunded childhood cancer research is, Izzy felt called to use her voice and her story to inspire others to help. She raised over $500,000 for cancer research with the Children's Cancer Fund and the Osteosarcoma Institute.

Izzy is survived by her parents, Christine and David, three siblings Faith, Madeleine and Luke, her grandparents, Mary Anne and Paul Fego and Jeannie and Bill Martin, and her aunt and uncle, Sara and Randall Watson.

The visitation and vigil will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home. The Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 12, 2022, at 4:30 PM at Christ the King Catholic Church in Dallas, Fr. Tony Lackland, celebrant. Per Izzy's wishes, please wear yellow and blue to both the visitation and the mass.
