Born May 18, 1924 in Port Huron, Michigan and married to Bill Terry for over 60 years. She will always be remembered as a devout Catholic, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.
Most of their life together was in Abilene, Texas where Bill owned KTAB-TV and Irene was active in many community affairs; she was a life-time board member of the Salvation Army, board member of the Noah Project, a home for women and children, and the United Way. In Abilene they made many lifelong friends and had countless great memories. After 40 years in Abilene they moved to Dallas, to be closer to their children.
Irene Terry is survived by her children: Michael, Sean, Kevin, Patrick, Mary, many grandchildren and one great grandchild.
She loved her family, her friendships, and her faith in the Catholic Church. She will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m., The Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm Wednesday at Sparkman/Hillcrest on Northwest Highway. The funeral mass will be Thursday at 1pm at Christ the King Catholic Church.
