Harry E. Robinson, Jr. was born in Port Arthur, Texas December 3, 1928 and died March 25, 2015. He graduated from public schools in Port Neches, Texas in 1946. He was active in Scouting in the Sabine Area Council attaining the rank of Eagle in 1944. He attended Lamar University in Beaumont and graduated from North Texas University with a BBA. Between 1951 and 1953 he served in the U.S. Army and enrolled in the University of Texas at Austin after his army discharge. He received an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin in 1955 and was employed by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. He held several positions in the bank and retired in 1986 as a Senior Vice President. During his working years he attended the University of Wisconsin Graduate School of Banking, Texas A&M School of Management, and the AMA School of Management. He also served on the Texas A&M Executive Development Board of Directors, as president of the American Institute of Banking, as president of the Dallas Management Association, and president of the Dallas Personnel Association. In 1980 Harry was the driving force in the effort to get indoor pools constructed in the Richardson ISD. After his retirement from business he was an active yachtsman and participated in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary. He was elected Captain of Division 10, 8th Coastal Region in 2002. He was a member of the Canyon Creek Presbyterian Church for 40 years.
Survived by wife of 63 years, Billie Robinson; Daughter, Cindy Devore; Son, Paul Robinson and his wife Bridget. Six grandchildren, Roy Devore, Jeff Devore, Amy Tajbakhsh and Jill Snyder, and Kate and Tori Robinson.
