Gloria F McGuire

Gloria Faye Parrish McGuire went home to be with the Lord on Monday August 17, 2020 in Gilmer, Texas at the age of 83. Gloria was born on March 11, 1937, in Dallas, Texas to B. J. and Lillian Estelle (Thomas) Parrish, both proceeded her in death.

She attended school in Oak Cliff, Texas. She worked at Garland Medical Center as an Administrative clerk. While working there she was set up on a blind date with Lonnie Ray McGuire, who became the love of her life. They married in September of 1995, Later, she retired from Garland Medical Center and they moved to Gilmer, Texas where they enjoyed working together on their property until his death in 2009.

She was an active member of the Barbwire Halo Cowboy Church, Gilmer, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Douglas Chase, a brother, Thomas N. Parrish and a sister, Louise Parrish Wilcox and two sisters-in-law, Minnie Parrish and Joyce Parrish. Gloria left behind two brothers, Buford Jene Parrish and James R. Parrish, a sister, Peggy Parrish Preslar, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren to cherish her memory.

Gloria will be laid to rest at Laurel Land Cemetery, Dallas, Texas on Friday, August 21, 2020 at 2:00 pm.
