Gloria Charlene Givens

Gloria Charlene Givens, age 71, passed away on December 16, 2024 in Greenville, Texas. She was born on November 23, 1953 in Dallas, Texas to Jack and Anita Andrews. Gloria was raised in Garland, Texas and graduated from North Mesquite High School in 1972.

That same year, Gloria would marry Gene Langford and the couple would go on to have 2 children. She worked as a baker at Tom Thumb, Sam's Club, and Walmart for a number of years.

In her spare time, Gloria enjoyed gambling at the casinos in Shreveport, BINGO and scratch off tickets, and playing games (mostly gambling) on her computer.

Her family and friends will always remember her as a great daughter, mom, and Nana who always supported her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack Andrews Jr. and Anita Fagg Andrews; as well as her Nannie, Memaw, and Popa.

She is survived by her sons, Jason Langford and wife Tammi, and Kevin Langford and wife Shannon; grandchildren, Blake Langford, Jourdan Langford, and Evan Langford and wife Alyssa; great-grandchildren, Masyn Langford, Ava Langford, Harper Langford, Brynlee Langford, and Harley Langford; as well as many extended family members and friends.

A visitation for Gloria will be held Thursday, December 19, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Grove Hill Funeral Home, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. A celebration of life will occur Friday, December 20, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228. A graveside service will occur Friday, December 20, 2024 from 11:15 AM to 11:30 AM, 3920 Samuell Blvd, Dallas, TX 75228.
