Glenda was born in Humboldt, Nebraska on Dec. 28, 1944, to Frances Cano Keeton and Forrest Arthur Keeton. She graduated from Texas School for the Deaf in 1962.
In 1977, Glenda met Raymond Alvarez. The two married on July 11, 1979. They just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary this past summer.
Glenda enjoyed spending time at home on her computer and cuddling on the couch with her little dog next to Raymond. She also loved being active with her church family at Silent Friends Chapel.
Glenda is preceded in death by her parents, Frances and Forrest Keeton, her twin sister Linda Gay Garcia, and her other sister Zandra Gurney.
Glenda is survived by her husband Raymond. The couple did not have any children together, however, Glenda is survived by her children George Hope, Chester Hope, Terry Hope and Kay Evans, and many other family and friends.
A visitation for Glenda will be held Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will occur Friday, October 11, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home Chapel, with a committal following at Calvary Hill Cemetery.
