Gerard was raised in (East Dallas) Dallas, Texas and attended/graduated from North Dallas High School in 1985.
He was a Computer Programmer at CRW Corporation and also worked as a bartender.
In his spare time, Gerard enjoyed bartending, dancing, shopping, caring for his Chihuahua's, movies and all types of music.
His family and friends will always remember him as a loving, caring, brother and a friend. He always had an Infectious smile and a wonderful sense of humor.
He is preceded to everlasting life by his father, Lupe Cantu Valderas, age 93; mother, Mary Guerra Valderas, age 67; brothers, Alfred, age 43; Ruben, age 30; Richard, age 59; Edward, age 69 and Lupito age 14.
He is survived by three brothers, Steven, Hector and Gabriel and three sisters, Erminia Valderas Castro, Esmeralda Valderas Cole and Priscilla Valderas Quintanilla; along with many nephews and nieces;
four wonderful pet Chihuahua's, named Rocket, Rizzo, Roscoe and T-Rex.
During his freshman year, he was the mascot for the North Dallas High School Bulldogs. His next three years, he was selected to be part of the North Dallas Cheerleading Squad for the Bulldogs.
