Geraldine (Jerry) McCombs Hawkins,94 , of Granbury and formerly of Dallas, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 in Granbury. She was born on November 22, 1923 in Rotan, Tx., the oldest of three children.
Service: 2:00 PM, Monday, January 22, 2018 at Laurel Land Funeral Home Chapel, 6000 S. R.L. Thornton Freeway, Dallas, TX 75232. Visitation: 6:00 -8:00 PM, Sunday, January 21, 2018 at the funeral home. Hillcrest Baptist Church Senior Pastor, Mike Simmons will officiate, where Mrs. Hawkins was a long-time active member.
Mrs. Hawkins was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Hawkins, her sister, Francis Newton and her husband Lehman of Midland, and parents, Bertha and Ollie McCombs of Rotan,Tx.
Survivors: Daughter, Deanna Hawkins McLeod and husband, Hugh of Granbury; granddaughters, Shelley McLeod of Fort Worth, Jamie McLeod Bomer and husband Moe of Rome,Ga.; great-grand-children Josh,Jared, and Sophie Bomer of Rome, Ga.; Brother, Billie Joe McCombs and wife Vera Ellen of Rotan, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.
