George Hallock Cramer

George Hallock Cramer, Sr., 89, of Dallas, TX born in St. Louis, MO on April 9, 1927 passed away of natural causes joining the Lord on Saturday, September 3rd just before midnight; a true testament to the way he lived his life, making the most out of every day, and always rising to the top in the end. Voted, “Most Popular” by his classmates, George graduated from Woodrow Wilson high school where his greatest accomplishment was finding his high school sweetheart, Patsy Thrasher, his bride of nearly 67 years of marriage, which they would have celebrated together next month. He was an Eagle Scout who served in the US Navy during World War II, returning home to attend SMU joining several honor societies including ones in mathematics and engineering. He eventually pursued his master’s degree, at Stevens Institute of Technology while working simultaneously for RCA before rising up through the ranks being called one of the, “Most sophisticated scientist” as he was named Corporate Director of Electronics at LTV. George and his friend Jim Lawson, also from LTV, joined forces at Resalab (laser backwards), an information transfer electronics company where he worked closely with the government including the FAA, Department of Defense, and CIA, eventually taking the company public. He next relied on his entrepreneurial spirit to drive him as his ventures took him into coin vending, investments in stock, and eventually landing him as a pioneer in the world of commercial real estate. Although George was valued as a successful businessman, he distinguished himself most as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. George will be forever remembered for his boisterous laugh, generous heart, brilliant mind, and genuine love of the Lord, family, and friends. George was preceded in death by his parents, Pearl and George Cramer and is survived by his loving wife Patsy Thrasher Cramer and their three children: Georgia, Scott, and Buddy; his brother, William “Bill” M. Cramer and his wife Pat; his longtime friend and son-in-law, Bruce Marshall; his six grandchildren and their families: Bonny-Kate and Ben Ralston, Sara and Jonathan Marshall, Jessica and Jeremiah Marshall, Caroline and David Walker, Sarabeth and Karson Moffett, and Matthew Marshall; nine great grandchildren; three nephews: Cliff, Byron, and Mitchell Prescott and their families; and his loving caretaker, Martha Diaz. In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to: Grace Bible Church, EvenTell, Equipped for Life Ministries (ELM), or a ministry of your choice.A Memorial service will be held in George’s honor at 2:00 pm on Monday, September 12th at Grace Bible Church on Inwood Road.
