Don was born on April 25, 1936 in Lubbock, Texas, a son of his father: Emmett Neal Mullins and his mother: Bonnie Davis.
He married Valerie Harris on October 25, 1969 in San Bernardino, California. He is survived by his wife Valerie Mullins of Plano, Texas.
Don is also survived by one daughter: Staci Short & husband Jeff and two sons: Stuart Mullins & wife Cris, Steven Mullins & wife Rheagan, 11 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
Don is preceded in death by parents Emmett and Bonnie Mullins and a sister, Betty Feland and a brother Neal “Moon” Mullins.
Don received his Bachelors of Arts in Business Administration (1976) and a Masters of Education (1988) both from Texas Tech University.
He attended church at Lake Point Forney from 2010-2016, and Chase Oaks Church from 2016-Present.
He worked in hospital administration from 1962-1987, worked as a computer science teacher at Midland College from 1988-1998 and was an Administrator/Principal at Faith Christian Academy from 2000-2004.
He greatly enjoyed researching family genealogy and loved Texas Rangers Baseball. His favorite music was Country and Gospel.
He also greatly enjoyed travel to France & Germany while in the Air Force and later years loved vacationing in the mountains of California, Colorado, Oregon and New Mexico.
Favorite Charities: Church, Missions, St. Jude Hospital and Gideon Bibles.
Family suggests donations in lieu of flowers to Gideon Bibles, Parkinson’s Research or St Judes Hospital in Don Mullins name.
Cremation Rites have been accorded.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 2:30 PM at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery located at 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.
Don served his country in the United States Air Force.
