Denise was born on May 30, 1960 in San Antonio, TX. She moved with her family to the Dallas/ Grand Prairie, TX area as a child. In her young years she enjoyed riding motorcycles with her dad, playing piano, spending time with her siblings and cousins, listening to rock and roll music, and riding horses.
In the summer of 1977 she met the love of her life, George, at the local high school hang out at the time. They fell in love and married September 16, 1978. They were married for 43 happy years. Before having their children, Denise enjoyed spending time with George in the garage working on cars. She was never afraid to get her hands dirty helping him with anything he needed to fix. After having her three children, Denise moved into what would be her favorite role in life, being a mother. She was always involved in all of their extracurricular activities. There was not a practice or game she missed. Later in life she became a grandmother and her granddaughters became the center of her world.
Family and friends close to Denise knew her as “Mrs. Denny” or simply as “Mama”. Her kind, gentle, giving soul made a lasting impression on everyone she met and her warm smile will live on in the memories of those dearest to her.
A visitation for Denise will be held Thursday, November 4, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Calvary Hill Funeral Home, with a rosary.
