Pastor Houston received his formal education in the Dallas Public School System where he would later graduate from Booker T. Washington and then joined the U.S forces where he served time protecting our country. After serving time in the military, he dedicated 30 years to Cascade Lining Service, where he won numerous customer service awards before he retired. Also, during this time he ventured into God’s work of becoming a full-time pastor at Greater Crossway Church (C.O.G.I.C). Pastor David Houston would continue his mission when he joined the Laurel Land Funeral Home family, doing what he loved. He served by helping families and being a support for co-workers for over 20 years. Pastor Houston stayed committed to both responsibilities until the Lord called him home.
