David Lee Goldstein, born July 15, 1958, in Baltimore, Maryland, passed away on December 1, 2022, in Dallas, Texas, after a year-long battle with illness. He was married to Jennie Goldstein, née Rubin, on March 3, 1984. He was a resident of Dallas and Carrollton, Texas, for 41 years.
David is survived by his parents, Lawrence Paul and Rosa Maxine Goldstein; his wife, Jennie Goldstein; his son, Benjamin Isaac Goldstein and wife Ashley Kristina Goldstein; his son, Mark Meyer Goldstein and wife Luisa Camila Goldstein; his sister, Susan Marcie Perry and husband Steven Brian Perry; his niece, Laura Raquel Perry and his nephew, Noah Michael Perry; and his mother-in-law, Lida Rubin. David was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Meyer and Libby Goldstein; his paternal step-grandfather, Frank Perper; his maternal grandparents, Max and Lillian Rottenberg; and his father-in-law, Isaac Rubin.
David attended Simsbury High School in Simsbury, Connecticut. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Economics and a Master of Business Administration in 1981. David had a distinguished career in accounting, information technology and finance. David served on the Board of Directors at Beal Bank since its founding in 1988. At Beal Bank, he was the Chair of the Audit Committee for many years. In 2008, David joined his wife Jennie’s business, Chef for All Seasonings, as its Business Manager.
David was an active member of the Dallas chapter of Financial Executives International and served on its Executive Committee. He participated in the Dallas-Riga Sister City Committee and was proud to host doctors from Latvia during their international exchange program with the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. David was fiercely loyal to his family and fought hard for their success. He was dedicated to and passionate about his career. David shared his love for the game of baseball with his son, Ben, and his fondness for good food with his son, Mark. He loved to travel, especially to Maui, with his wife, Jennie. D avid was known by his loved ones for his compassion, humor and love of knowledge. Above all else, David was a loving husband, a loving and proud father, and a wonderful man.
David was diagnosed with celiac disease at the age of 47 and he beat Burkitt’s lymphoma at 63.

A funeral service for David will be held Sunday, December 4, at 1 p.m. at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home in Dallas. Interment will follow at the Garden of David.
