David Alan Floyd Anderson, DDS, MAGD, 57, of Plano, Texas, died on Saturday, February 8, 2020. David was born in El Paso, Texas, on November 3, 1962, to Betty Davis Anderson and Samuel David Anderson.
He is survived by his wife Laura Jane Tritschler Anderson; mother Betty; sister Sami Roop; brother-in-law Brian Roop; and two nephews, Bradley and Stephen Roop. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Susan Martin Tritschler; brother-in-law Frederick M. Tritschler III; nephews Frederick M. Tritschler IV and James Brett Tritschler; niece Alison Tritschler; brother-in-law Wesley Martin Tritschler; sister-in-law Cynthia Tritschler Colocousis; brother-in-law John Colocousis; and nephew Grant Colocousis.
David graduated from Coronado High School in El Paso, Texas, in 1981. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Texas at Austin in 1985, and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Baylor College of Dentistry, now the Texas A&M College of Dentistry, in 1989. David became a fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry in 1998, and earned a Master in the Academy in 2011.
David was in private practice in Garland, Texas, for 19 years. He then joined DentalOne Partners. He practiced in Frisco, Texas, for 6 years with DentalOne, and then moved into management for the company, rising to Chief Clinical Officer-West.
Throughout his career, David sought advanced education courses and new techniques with which to improve his dental skills. He shared his knowledge with the dental community through lectures and participation in conferences and study groups across the country.
David also leaves behind numerous friends and colleagues who will miss him dearly. David was greatly admired for his professionalism and work ethic, and will always be remembered for his kindness, sense of humor, and ability to forge deep and lasting friendships.
A Memorial Service will be held at noon on February 22, 2020, St. Michael and All Angels, 8011 Douglas Street, Dallas. A reception will follow in the church parlor. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to SPCA Dallas, 2400 Lone Star Drive, Dallas, Texas, 75212, or www.spca.org.
